Lil Wayne Drops The Theme Song For Skip Bayless' New FS1 Show "Undisputed"

Listen to a snippet of "No Mercy" the new "Undisputed" theme song. Skip Bayless' new show on Fox Sports 1, "Undisputed" will kick off next Tuesday, September 6th, at 9:30am EST and it will feature the musical stylings of Skip's long time pal, Lil Wayne. "Lil Wayne has been a friend and frequent guest on my show," he said, "and I’ve told him how honored I am to have such a legend create such a great song for our new show." Billboard just recently announced that Fox Sports 1 commissioned Lil Wayne to come up with the theme song for "Undisputed," and that Weezy will be making an appearance on the premiere episode next week. The president of Jingle Punks, Jared Gutstadt, who wrote and produced the track for Wayne, told Billboard; “Knowing that Fox Sports is about to launch one of the biggest sports debate shows of all time, it’s only fitting that they partnered Jingle Punks with the biggest and most respected rapper of all time. It was absolutely astounding to see what Lil Wayne was able to bring to the table on this song." Skip will be joined by co-host Shannon Sharpe as well as sports radio host, Joy Taylor who will be mediating the debates between the two outspoken personalities on FS1.

Ray J Says Chris Brown's Arrest Is "Wrong And Sad"

"I can't say what's truthful or not because I've never seen that happen and I was right there." On Tuesday, a long police standoff at Chris Brown's L.A. home following reports that he had pulled a gun on a woman ended with the singer being arrested. Brown was released on $250,000 bail today, and while he has yet to make a statement following his arrest, his lawyer has stressed that the "allegations against him are demonstrably false," while Ray J, who was present at the time of the alleged threat, has also spoken up on the events. "My job is to just say that Chris is 100... meaning he's a good dude," Ray J told Entertainment Tonight, going on to question alleged victim Baylee Curran's story. "I think it was wrong and sad, and it hurts my feelings that you work so hard to try to get better, and a small little length of a story that you don't even know is even real or not can affect you this much without even getting the facts." However, Ray J was hesitant to go on record to dispute Curran's claims that Brown pulled a gun on her, before a car began to follow her when she left the home. "I can't say what's truthful or not because I've never seen that happen and I was right there... So I don't want to comment." Later on, he told the host, "Everything you're saying is ridiculous to me."

Kanye West's Video Choreographer Explains The "Fade" Video

Jae Blaze explains Kanye's bizarre new video starring Teyana Taylor. Kanye West has taken the weirdness of his music videos to a new level since he released The Life of Pablo. "Fade," which he debuted last night at the VMAs, comprises of Teyana Taylor doing a hypnotizing dance routine in a sweaty thong than turning into a naked lion alongside Iman Shumpert. Pitchfork spoke with "Fade" choreographer and artistic director Jae Blaze to attempt to elucidate her and Kanye's vision. The end product of the video, in her estimation was "absolute black magic." "Kanye, I can't stop saying it, he's just a creative genius," Blaze said. "When he came in, he told us, 'I like this particular move, but I want to take it to the next level. Show me what you can do on top of this move.' He has something specific on his mind, as a visionary. And we have to translate that onto Teyana's body." "Fade" immediately drew comparisons to the stylish 1983 film "Flashdance." Blaze seemed to confirm that 'Flashdance' served as an inspiration for the video: "You know what the funny thing is? Everyone is just referencing 'Flashdance,' and that is a great conversation to be in because the movie was epic... I mean, she just took 'Flashdance' to 2016, if you want to put it like that. She brought it to a generation of some people who many not have even seen the movie before! She made it relevant and current right now. Her body is amazing. Her dancing was amazing. She's just a beast. All in all, it just came together really well." Blaze also clarified the most confusing part of the video, in which Teyana becomes a lioness. "I think the vision behind that was how amazing Teyana is, and how she's been on the rise, and how she's working, and you are now seeing her blossom into this fierce lioness, this fierce cat," Blaze said. "She has worked her way into that, and she's in a great position right now in her life. She has her family. She's being held down by her amazing husband. She has a beautiful daughter. You know, the lioness always protects her baby. I think it really is about her coming into her fierceness. And that's where she is in her life right now. She is blossoming."

Lil Wayne's Closes Lil Weezyana Fest By Yelling "Fuck Cash Money"

Lil Wayne disses Cash Money at Lil Weezyana fest. While Birdman has expressed interest in repairing his relationship with Lil Wayne, possibly because he is the defendant in Wayne's outstanding $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money, it is quite apparent that Wayne doesn't feel the same way. At the end of his performance at this weekend's Lil Weezyana Fest in New Orleans, Wayne shared a parting message with the crowd. “Before I get out this motherfucker," he said, “I want to say three more important words: fuck Cash Money.” This is not the first time Wayne has publicly uttered these words or some variant. His lawsuit against Cash Money is currently on hold, and he seems quite eager to get on with it so he can finally exact on the label to whom he is still signed.

Target Puts French Montana's "MC4" Out For Sale Despite Album Delay

Target accidentally sells copies of "MC4" before it's officially released. Three days before the scheduled release of his long-awaited album MC4, French Montana announced that the album would be delayed due to "sample clearance" issues. Target didn't get the memo. One Target retailer put physical copies of MC4 out for sale on Friday morning. Twitter user Matt Albin spotted MC4 on the rack sandwiched inbetween Tory Lanez' I Told You and Rae Sremmurd's SremmLife 2. He recounted the encounter with the accidentally released album in a blog post: "I went to a Target to purchase Tory Lanez' new album I Told You and sitting right next to the album was MC4," he wrote. "I went to the self-checkout and had to receive customer assistance. The employee that came to fix the issue knew the album was pushed back and didn’t allow me to purchase it. After the fact, I contacted another Target employee that I know and he revealed that it is possible to purchase the album despite the pushback. It just depends on the employee you are dealing with."

A Tribe Called Quest Is Dropping A New Album, Recorded Before Phife Dawg's Death

According to L.A. Reid, Epic Records will soon release the first album from A Tribe Called Quest in 18 years. The group apparently finished recording the album before Phife Dawg's death in March. Hip-hop took a huge loss earlier this year with the sudden death of Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest. Almost five months after his passing -- though the sting of his absence remains -- some fortuitous news has just arrived that fans of the late founding Tribe member will be overjoyed to hear. According to L.A. Reid, A Tribe Called Quest recorded a new album before the group lost Phife. Reid confirmed that his team at Epic Records is currently planning to release the album and that it's "coming very soon." Reid announced the new Tribe album on the latest episode of the Rap Radar podcast, while he was discussing Epic's recent ventures. "You know what I'm really excited about, though: A Tribe Called Quest," he said. "We have a Tribe Called Quest album coming. I'm really excited about that," before going on to confirm that the album was recorded before Phife's death. "Man, it's something really special," he said of the album. When it arrives, the album will be A Tribe Called Quest's first since 1998's The Love Movement. Reid also revealed that the album will include all four Tribe members that appeared on the group's debut album, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, including Jarobi White, who hasn't appeared on any of their LPs since.

Consequence Says He Was A "Ghostwriter" On Jay Z’s “Encore”

According to Consequence, he was a "ghostwriter" for Jay Z's "Encore." The topic of “ghostwriting” has been a conversation that many hip-hop fans & enthusiasts have been having following last year’s Drake x Meek Mill x Quentin Miller saga. While many people understand that their favorite rapper might not write 100% of their lyrics, others believe they should and like to argue the case of authenticity when a debate is had. Well for those of you who believe only a true artist writes his lyrics, you might be surprised to hear that Jay Z, who’s arguably the best rapper of all-time, has used a ghostwriter in the past . In a new interview with Power 106 LA, long time Kanye West-collaborator Consequence spilled the news on a record he once helped for Hov. According to Consequence, he and Kanye West came up with chorus for Hov’s Black Album standout “Encore.” “One record in particular I was happy about to be a part of was Jay Z’s ‘Encore’. When me and Kanye (kinda) was on the phone & we actually kinda came up with the chorus back & forth.” As DJ Booth points out the definition of a ghostwriter is someone who contributes to a song or project and does not receive an official writing credit. And what do you know, Consequence’s name is nowhere to be found on the song’s credits (See here). Watch Consequence spill the news about his ghostwriting past in the new interview below. (Jay talk comes around 8:30 mark)

First Week Sales For PartyNextDoor's "P3" & Rae Sremmurd's "SremmLife 2"

PND debuts at #3 on the charts; Rae Sremmurd at #7. PartyNextDoor's album P3 was given a lukewam reception from fans but it enjoyed a successful first week of sales. According to HDD, P3 moved 29k physical units and 50k SPS (sales-plus-streaming) units. It finished its opening week at #3 on the charts behind the juggernaut 1-2 punch of the "Suicide Squad" OST and Drake's VIEWS. Meanwhile, SremmLife2 moved 15k physical units and 30k SPS units. It ended the week on the #7 slot, less than 1000 units behind DJ Khaled's Major Key. Stream Ka's Album "Honor Killed The Samurai"

LIsten to Brownsville veteran Ka's "Honor Killed the Samurai." Brownsville rapper and producer and amateur New York historian Kaseem "Ka" Ryan's new album Honor Killed the Samurai is one of the best underground albums of the year. Upon listening through its 10 songs I felt compelled to share it, even though it was released last week. To some degree, Ka treats wordplay as an end unto itself, like Doom. But mostly he uses clever, conceptual bars to weave strands of Japanese philosophy through his own experiences growing up in Brooklyn. “We was born in the thorns, few arose / Once a town’s noose, now in soundproofs pursuing golds." Buy Honor Killed the Samurai on iTunes and stream it below via Spotify. https://open.spotify.com/embed/album/7cedsV0ccOZSMS1PUjO2d7

Donald Glover Might Play Young Lando Calrissian In Upcoming Star Wars Movie

The studio wants to cast Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo movie. After watching Marvel make a fortune by giving each of its extensive cast of superheroes their own movie, Lucasfilms is now doing the same with Star Wars. In addition to Episodes 7-9, they are producing a Han Solo spinoff currently scheduled for a May 2018 release. They are in the process of casting the film, and according to BirthMoviesDeath, their first choice for young Lando Calrissian is none other than Donald Glover. As you might recall, Billy Dee Williams aka Gale Sayers portrayed Calrissian in the first Star Wars trilogy. Calrissian was a former pilot and administrator of Cloud City who ultimately assisted the Rebel Alliance in their quest to overthrow Imperial Forces. Glover as Calrissian is far from a done deal, but intriguing to consider. His FX show "Atlanta" premieres on September 6th.

Young Buck Reportedly Sentenced To 7 Months In Prison

Young Buck is said to have violated the conditions of his August release. After being released from jail on August 1st, Young Buck has been sentenced to 7 months in prison after violating the conditions of his release, according to Nashville Scene. The rapper was arrested in July after allegedly kicking down his then-girlfriend's door and threatening to burn her house down, itself a violation of previous conditions from 2013 charges. After serving jail time for that incident, he was released at the beginning of August on the condition that he would not have any contact -- direct or indirect -- with the woman he threatened, but after a reported 100 or more attempts to get in touch with her, he has been hit with a 7-month prison sentence. An excerpt from the U.S. Attorney's office in reference to Buck's sentencing can be found below. On July 20, 2016, another of Brown’s ex-girlfriends obtained an Ex Parte Order of Protection in state court and arrest warrants were issued against Brown based on an incident in which Brown wanted to get certain property out of that woman’s house and was told that the property was not there. He then kicked in the door of the residence and threatened that woman. Brown was arrested for violating his supervision, and was detained pending a detention hearing. After that hearing, the federal magistrate determined Brown could be released pending the final hearing on this incident and the previous March 2016 incident, but ordered Brown not to have any direct or indirect contact with this victim. Brown was released under those conditions on August 1, 2016. After being released on those conditions, Brown violated the conditions of his release by contacting and attempting to contact that woman over 100 times in violation of the Magistrate’s release order.
