Rihanna stars in her very first Puma ad since being named creative director for the brand.
Moreso than ever, brands are looking for ambassadors that have a large reach on social media, and if you're looking for Instagram followings, you could do a hell of a lot worse than Rihanna.
RiRi was named creative director of the clothing brand last year, but hadn't actually appeared in an official advertisement for the company until today. Decked out in all Puma everything, from her visor to her shoes, Rihanna should help Puma in its quest to compete in the recent resurgence of athletic leisure gear.
Puma tweeted out the image this morning, introducing a brand new shoe in the process. You can have a look at what is the first in what will surely be countless adds featuring the singer over the next year.
Meanwhile we're still waiting for R8 to surface.

Drake is taking over the summer! OVO
Once you reach a certain status in the rap game, there comes a time where you dedicate an entire summer to headlining music festivals. We've seen Kanye West, and more recently, Outkast, take on this task, but in 2015, it's Drake's turn.
Following two headlining sets at Coachella earlier in the month, Drizzy will be heading to Wirless, Governor's Ball, his own OVO Fest, and now Landmark Festival in DC.
The Toronto rapper will be sharing the bill with The Strokes, alt-J, CHVRCHES, Band Of Horses, and more, but appears to be the only rap act announced so far.
The festival will take place September 26-27 in Washington D.C.'s West Potomac Park. Tickets are currently on sale.
Check out the full lineup in the gallery above.

Lil B "THE BASEDGOD" has accused hotel staff of stealing $10,000 from his room.
Throughout his career, Lil B has done nothing but give, whether it be free music, positive advice, or follows on Twitter, so it saddens us to hear that he's had $10,000 in cash taken from him. The Based God has accused the staff of Red Lion Hotel in Oakland of taking money from his room while he was out today.
The only details we're aware of are what Lil B has posted on social media, which includes a video of the rapper asking the help of what he describes as uncooperative management. Most recently, he tweeted at the company, and they've replied with a phone number to get things sorted out.
We're sure Lil B will share an update on Twitter if he's reunited with his cash. For now, check out his posts below, and send Based thoughts toward the rapper on social media.
Social Media Erupts Over Death Of Freddie Grey!
On April 12, 25-year-old Freddie Gray was arrested in Baltimore for possession of a switchblade, though it's still not clear why he was pursued in the first place. Police claim Gray was apprehended without force, though bystanders have suggested otherwise, and video evidence shows Gray screaming while being forced into the police's van. What happened next is still being investigated, though by the time Gray arrived at the police station, he was unresponsive, unable to talk or breathe.
Though Gray arrived at the hospital 30 minutes after the arrest, police have since admitted they were not urgent enough in getting Gray the medical care he needed. A week later, on Sunday, April 19, Freddie Gray died in the hospital. The final cause of death has been attributed to a severed spine, though, the cause of said injury is still being investigated. An investigation on police by police.
Ensuing riots and looting, and injuries on behalf of both police and civilians, have led Baltimore into a state of emergency. Peaceful protests are also taking place in Baltimore and across the nation, though the media has continued to highlight the escalating violence.
The hip-hop world has since chimed in on the death of Freddie Gray and its far-reaching implications. Of course, rappers' opinions on the proper course of action vary widely, with some justifying the anger, some denouncing the riots altogether, and most everyone calling for solidarity. First, we hear from Baltimore's own King Los. Twitter responses from Vic Mensa, Meek Mill, and Freddie Gibbs are below, while Instagram commentary on behalf of Killer Mike, Waka Flocka Flame, and Rihanna can be found in the above gallery.
Please share your opinions in the comments.
